Role will include:

• To prepare and cook home-made meals for the children using fresh ingredients 
• Encourage healthy eating and liaise with care staff to understand the children’s likes, dislikes & needs, ensuring the food provided reflects specialised diets and allergies
• Keep the kitchen clean and tidy, ensuring statutory Health & Safety standards are met at all times and report any incidents in line with procedures
• To understand and ensure implementation of relevant policies & procedures eg Health & Safety, Emergency & Fire procedures
• To report any faulty appliances, damaged equipment, maintenance issues or other potential hazards to the Head of Care
