WorkwithYorkshire are delighted to be working with one of the most iconic tourist attractions in York. We are looking to recruit Visitor Experience Hosts who will be responsible for welcoming visitors, managing queues, provide information and ensure a positive experience for all. You will play a crucial role in customer service, operational support for events and upholding health and safety regulations.
We are looking to recruit 4 people for 6 month contracts (21 hours/week & 28 hours/week) as well as hosts for ad hoc shifts to suit. Hourly rate £12.60 per hour.
Key responsibilities;
- Visitor welcome: Warmly greeting visitors, managing queues, and assisting with general orientation.
- Customer service: Providing excellent service, answering questions, and helping to make each visitor's day special.
- Operational support: Assisting with other activities like services, events, and ensuring public areas remain safe and accessible.
- Safety & security: Implementing health and safety regulations, monitoring for any security threats, and assisting with evacuations if required.
Skills & Experience;
- Customer-facing: The role requires a confident, professional, and customer-focused individual who can thrive in a busy environment.
- Flexibility: Working hours often include evenings and weekends, with contracts available for various days per week.
- Skills: Experience in customer service, sales, and a willingness to be part of a team are valuable.
