We are currently recruiting a skilled and reliable driver for a client's road sweeping operations based in York.
This is a temporary role for 6 months, possibly longer, providing an excellent opportunity to further enhance your driving career. As a member of our client's team, you will enjoy a supportive working environment where your contribution is valued.
We are offering a competitive pay rate.
Responsibilities:
- Operating a Class 2 road sweeper vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
- Carrying out scheduled road sweeping duties, across various locations within the York area.
- Ensuring timely and efficient completion of assigned routes, adhering to designated schedules.
- Conducting routine maintenance checks on the vehicle, to ensure its optimal performance.
- Reporting any defects or issues promptly to the appropriate channels.
- Complying with all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Working in collaboration with team members, to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Hold a valid Class 2 HGV/LGV Licence
- Possess a valid CPC and Digi-card.
- Previous experience operating a Class 2 road sweeper vehicle is highly desirable but not essential.
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Good time management skills and the ability to meet tight schedules.
You will require a suitable level of physical fitness to cope with the demands of the role, and have the ability to work in all weathers and the ability to start work early mornings.
