Main Purpose of the job:
To make sewn made to measure medical compression garments from pre-cut flat fabrics that meet specification requirements, meet or exceed quality standards, and meet or exceed the required efficiency levels, targets, and deadlines using a variety of industrial sewing machines.
Main Responsibilities/Outputs of Job:
· The organisation and maintenance of a safe and efficient workstation and work area.
· Regular machine cleaning to prevent product contamination.
· Adhering to health and safety rules, regulations, and policies.
· Adhering to other Company policies and procedures.
· Operating specialist industrial sewing machines using a variety of sewing production techniques and methods.
· An understanding of the various fabrics, trims, and accessories used in the manufacturing of garments.
· To read and interpret work orders/patterns.
· Quality check garments to ensure they match the pattern instructions and finished standard.
· Repair finished garments as required, making machine adjustments to compensate for errors or quality issues.
· Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service or repairs as required.
· Develop and maintain effective communication with colleagues.
· Record production and time detail through scanning of barcodes for each garment produced.
· Meet or exceed daily and weekly output/deadlines and quality goals.
· Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.
· Comply with Company procedures regarding the confidentiality and security of information.

· Have the ability to concentrate for sustained periods of time.
· Have great attention to detail.
· Be able to work quickly and accurately.
· Be able to follow and interpret verbal and written instructions.
· Have good knowledge of the machinery, fabrics, and materials used.
· Be able to work in a seated position for prolonged periods.
Additional Notes:
· Experience with industrial sewing machines a plus.
· Some sewing experience preferred.
· On the job training will be provided on multiple industrial sewing machine types across a variety of product categories.
