Role Overview
As an Account Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and expanding relationships with high-value clients across the UK. Leveraging your extensive industry experience, you will serve as a trusted advisor, identifying client needs, aligning them with relevant security and infrastructure solutions, and ensuring successful delivery in collaboration with our technical and delivery teams.
You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, deepening client engagement, and maintaining strong commercial oversight across your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic enterprise and public sector accounts across cybersecurity and infrastructure domains.
- Act as a senior point of contact for C-level stakeholders, fostering long-term client relationships and delivering exceptional customer value.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within existing accounts, as well as expansion into adjacent departments or subsidiaries.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned with client objectives and our solution offerings.
- Collaborate closely with pre-sales consultants, technical architects, and vendor partners to shape and propose tailored solutions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the cybersecurity and infrastructure market, including regulatory frameworks, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics.
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and commercial discussions to ensure sustainable account profitability.
- Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting to senior leadership.
- Serve as a mentor to junior sales and account management staff, contributing to internal best practices and leadership development.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in IT solutions sales, with a proven focus on cybersecurity and enterprise infrastructure.
- Demonstrable success managing complex, high-value accounts with multi-million-pound revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of modern cybersecurity frameworks, threat landscapes, and enterprise IT architecture.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, particularly at board and senior executive level.
- Experience navigating public sector procurement frameworks and large enterprise buying cycles.
- Commercially strategic with a strong ability to balance client needs, technical feasibility, and profitability.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to team leadership and cross-functional working.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP) are advantageous but not essential.
