We are WorkwithYork Limited and our client is looking to find Support Workers for their short breaks service located in York, working with adults who have learning disabilities.

This role is available on an ad hoc, part time or full time basis, with an immediate start

The pay rates range from £14.72 to £17.66 per hour.  Various shifts are available including;

- Weekdays from 7am to 10am and 3pm - 9pm

- Weekends from 7am to 3pm and 3pm to 9pm

Work with York Limited pay weekly using online timesheets, offer a workplace pension scheme, holiday pay, and online training given.

Duties include:

• Providing sensitive and flexible support
• Following and contributing to individual and service care plans, risk assessments and policies
• Assisting in maintaining social networks and participating in activities
• Keeping accurate and timely records, whilst respecting and maintaining customers’ privacy and confidentiality
• Communicating clearly and effectively with customer and carers
• Consulting with other professionals in emergency situations
• Working on your own initiative, as well as part of a larger team

You will need to have:

• Experience of working with adults with learning difficulties
• The skills to communicate clearly and effectively with customer and carers and consult with other professionals in emergency situations
• The ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a larger team
• The right to work in the United Kingdom
• An Adults DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one
