Summary

As an apprentice you will learn a variety of plastering and construction skills, along with how to mix the correct ratio of plaster to apply to walls and buildings, this will include learning how to skim and render correctly. You will also be expected to use a variety of equipment safely.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

• You will be shown how to skilfully use a hawk, trowel and other specialist plastering tools in order to complete jobs to a high standard
• Construction work such as preparing the work area and tidying on the construction site
