THE ROLE
As a Grade 1 Teaching Assistant (TA1) at our special school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This includes:
THE CANDIDATE
Interest in working in a special education school
An understanding or experience of working with children/ young people with SEN / SEND needs
Be willing to undertake Math's & English qualifications within a specific timeframe
ABOUT US Greenacre School is one of the UK’s largest special schools, educating over 300 children and young people aged 3 to 19 with severe and complex learning disabilities. In addition to the main site, the school has a number of satellite classes, which are based within local mainstream settings. This model supports Greenacre’s steadfast commitment to social inclusion. SALARY/ HOURS Salary for a Grade 1 Teaching Assistant is £18,895 actual annual salary working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust
This is a full time role working Mon-Fri TERM TIME only 8.50am-3.45pm (every Wednesday till 4.45pm)
