Location: Tongue Grocery Store & Post Office

Hours: The Store is open 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, six days a week.  Part-time contracts (permanent and casual) available with flexible shifts (mornings, afternoons, or 2–3 days per week).

The Role

The Tongue Grocery Store is a hub within the local community and serves not just to provide essential produce but is a place where people can chat and connect with others, thereby providing a vital service to the area.

Key Duties

• Be a positive Team Player and represent WildLand Values at all times.
• Comply with all Health & Safety Policies & Procedures.
• Be a friendly and welcoming first point of contact for anyone coming into the Store
• Help customers to find and pack items
• Ensure tills are accurately used and float is monitored
• Ensure shelves are well stocked and restocked, monitoring sell-buy dates and replacing produce
• Open and close the Store as required ensuring that all security measures are in place
• Support the re-opening of the Post Office (training provided)
• Provide local information and directions to anyone in need
• Be a supportive team member to colleagues
• Be available to work pre-opening and post-closing hours (8-9am and 5-6pm)
• Ensure the shop remains clean and tidy at all times, including shelves, floors, and customer areas.

• Open to learning; prior retail experience is a bonus, but full training will be provided
